Contemplating Balance
This is a space for me to share with you as I move through Osteopathy training and the fertile ground of life as a mother of 3 children, a wonderful poodle, and my little blue house in Marriotts Cove.
You can also follow me on Instagram for short videos. I wish you courage and self-compassion on your journery to wellness.
The Cycle of Balance
The cycle of balance is a lifelong journey that we are all
experiencing to some degree, with or without conscious intent.
Now that you are aware, you can choose to participate actively in this cycle and experience life with openness to create a steady undercurrent of peace felt within the ups and downs and embody a love for all that is, as it is. With practice, your ability to accept all sensations and let go of any need for your current experience to be any different that it is right now will expand and become your natural state of being with life.
With your in breath, welcome it within. A sense of curiosity, exploration, willingness to feel, and the desire to welcome all of it will fuel this phase of the cycle. What am I feeling right now? Where am I feeling it? An attitude of yes with an inward focused awareness will become the natural impulse for this phase.
With the fullness and the tension before the exhale, be with it. This phase holds the intention to be patient, accepting, allowing and possibly forgiving. What else? Tell me more? Where is it living in my body system now? Am I stuck in thoughts or beliefs? Is it true? Is it mine? Am I ready to let all of this go?
When all has been welcomed and explored and it’s time to exhale, let it go. As you patiently stayed present with all of your inner experiences, the fullness will most likely give way to a floating sensation, a sense of stillness, a lightness in your body and a sense of peace. All is well. A deep knowing may surface. Sometimes this can be overwhelming and scary at first and lead right back to the first phase and that’s completely ok. Continue with the next in breath, welcome it within.
